Yosemite in Spring - Flowers

Spring comes to Yosemite at different times of the year depending on Elevation. By April the Merced River Canyon (along highway 140) after Mariposa is adorned with pink flowers along the river. California poppies and occasional lupines and Indian paint-brush flowers spring up by the roadside. Blooms of yellow wildflowers cover entire hill-slopes in the lower Merced river canyon.
